As a Personnel and Industrial Relations major I studied human resource management and strategy in several of my classes. Furthermore, I passed the Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) Exam in May 2009 to demonstrate my knowledge of human resources. In addition to studying the topic of human resources, I enjoyed a Human Resources Internship opportunity at TierOne Recruiting Consultants in 2008. This first hand experience has given me insight into the diversity in the field of human resources, including the recruiting and staffing process, and confirmed that I am entering into a field which I take pleasure in.
