The Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering the medical, dental, life and other insurance programs. Enrolling employees into the various plan options, responding to employee questions and serving as liaison with carrier representatives and brokers are the essential elements of this job. The Benefits Administrator is also involved with the regular cycle of benefits program planning and administration, including annual Open Enrollment.

KEY DUTIES:
Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA and 401k
• Ensure the accuracy of employee' benefit choices through Ceridian Self Service and proper enrollment in the various benefits vendors' systems. Process enrollment, changes, terminations
• Respond to employee questions regarding benefit plan choices participate in open enrollment communication sessions and problem-solve claims issues with plan providers on behalf of employees
• Process benefit transactions, FMLA and other types of leave administration
• Process and reconcile benefit vendor invoices
• Liaison with benefit plan brokers
• Assist the Vice President of Human Resources in the development and design of the company-wide benefits program
• Review, distribute and maintain summary plan descriptions for all benefit plans
• Coordinate open enrollment
• Process worker's compensation claims
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory guidelines having to do with benefits administration
• Administer 401(k) plan
• Manage Disability claims
• Coordinate annual Health & Wellness Expo for corporate office
• Coordinate Total Compensation Statements as required
• Coordinate benefit plan audits
• Coordinate 5500 filings for all benefit plans
• Coordinate and administer OSHA reporting
• Administer and track COBRA
• Participate in the benefits portion of new hire orientation
• Set-up benefit plans and benefit rate tables in HRIS
• Participate in human resource project work as required
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years corporate benefits administration
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. CEBS certification preferred
• Ceridian HR/Payroll Web (HPW) experience preferred
• Prior experience setting up benefit tables in HRIS/payroll system
• Prior experience using report writer function in an HRIS system

• Strong customer service and relationship skills
• Results oriented; must be able to take initiative, prioritize and balance workloads and meet strict critical deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and willingness to follow through and complete tasks with a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to analyze data, statistics and trends and create complex (critical business) reports which includes compiling, migrating/transferring data from multiple sources
• Ability to read, understand and follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidelines
• Computer proficiency at an intermediate level (Excel, Word)
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements
• Ability to develop and keep effective metrics that are aligned to corporate strategy

REQUIREMENTS(PHYSCIAL, MENTAL, EVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS)
Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-location facility.
• Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the work day.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, reach, bend, stoop, lift throughout the course of the work day.
• Must be able to analyze and concentrate routinely throughout the course of the work day.
