Description

Responsible for posting positions, screening and referring applicants to management for manufacturing, technical, administrative or management positions throughout the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews resumes, analyzes information provided on candidate’s application form, and conducts personal interviews. Determines suitability of applicant for employment. Performs further background check and drug screens. May include researching prior employment references, transcripts, etc., to gain adequate information for selection decision. Evaluates previous experience, education, etc., in consideration for employment.
Follows up on related administrative aspects of employment, such as completing necessary forms and/or notifying manager and employee of start date. Partners with operations management team in respective area to understand recruiting needs.
Acts as liaison with area employment agencies
Completes required reports on employment activity and performs new hire orientation when necessary.
Ensures all necessary new hire documents are completed correctly and in a timely manner to ensure proper pay roll enrollment.
Essential Skills:
Strong interviewing skills. Good knowledge of specialized functions in the organization, basic understanding of Company’s organizational structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel policy/procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to negotiate, problem solve, work independently and travel as needed.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person; capable of relating to individuals at all levels of the organization. The incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image as unique situations occur.
Education/Experience:
1. Associates’ degree or equivalent experience.
2. At least (2) years related work experience in high-volume recruiting environment.
