Robin Throckmorton, MA, SPHR

Robin M. Throckmorton, M.A., SPHR, is a founding partner of e-HResources.com and president of Strategic Human Resources, Inc. For over seventeen (17) years, Robin has been a generalist or consultant in the healthcare, manufacturing, service, retail, educational, and non-profit industries. Robin is co-author of the recent published Bridging the Generation Gap.

Robin’s experiences have included establishment and enhancement of the human resources function and related activities, research and implementation of best practices, and creation of various organizational development programs. Her expertise in organizational development includes strategic planning, performance management, multi-rater feedback, succession planning, and career management. Robin is a Development Dimensions International (DDI) certified trainer. She has designed and presented numerous training programs on various issues ranging from employment legislation to organizational development to strategic planning. Robin is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Cincinnati where she has taught and spoken for various classes in the Masters program including Strategic Human Resources Management. Robin is also Myers Briggs Type Indicator certified and has used the certification to counsel individuals and groups in career management and team building.

Robin has volunteered for a number of advisory and leadership roles to help serve the human resources profession. For three years, she was the chapter advisor for the University of Cincinnati’s Student Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) chapter. Each year she was the advisor, the chapter received the Superior Merit Award and a top 5 ranking in the nation by SHRM. For the local professional SHRM chapter, Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association (GCHRA), Robin has served on the Board of Directors and as the SHRM Student Liaison, Diversity Advocate, and Jobline Coordinator. Through these roles, Robin has become a resource for the GCHRA chapter to assist with various project initiatives and activities.

Robin holds a BS from Purdue University in Management and a Master of Arts in Labor and Employment Relations from the University of Cincinnati. Robin is also certified as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) by the national Human Resources Certification Institute. She has been recognized by Professional Who’s Who and Entrepreneur Who’s Who as a leader in human resources. Robin was also named Enterprising Women of the Year Finalist in 2008.
